Pots and Planters
Only use a mixture of premium potting soil and Perlite formulated for pot and planters gardening. This is usually, but not always, a mixture of soil and peat but can vary according to mixture. To ensure you are using the correct type of potting soil for your plant(s), check with a professional to determine the correct regional and plant specific soil to be used.
If you are using your planter outdoors it is necessary to drill sufficient drainage holes to allow excess water to drain from the planter. Green Image Lifestyle offer the addition of Drainage holes for no additional cost. It is the customers responsibility to check these holes are not blocked before planting /installing. Green Image Lifestyle recommend using a drainage system (available at an additional cost), the use a premium quality potting mix mixed with Perlite, not regular potting/planting mix, and elevation (invisible pot feet- available at additional cost) to ensure free flow of water. Without the use of an adequate drainage system, premium quality potting mix and elevation, can lead to excess water in the soil profile and can have an impact on the structure and finish of the pot.
Heavier soil, sand, and “earth” absorb and retain more water which can apply strong pressure to the walls of the planter and cause structural damage in large sized planters. Green Image Lifestyle takes no responsibility for improper installations and other forms of misuse may void the product warranty.
If you are using your planters indoors, drainage holes are not recommended. Once planted, pots (product) should be elevated above the ground, includes decking, turf, tiles, pavers etc., to ensure water isn’t blocked from exiting the drainage holes. Green Image Lifestyle can provide you with invisible pot feet in your order (additional cost), or alternatively, you can purchase from any hardware store.
Corten Steel Fire Pits and Wood Stackers
Corten Steel is designed to have a ‘rust’ finish. In no way is this a fault of the product. The ‘run off’ of Corten will slow down once the surface corrosion is complete, forming a protective layer of red-brown, gaining a darker hue with time. It is advised not to install your Corten Steel product on porous material as staining may occur. You can put a sealant over it to slow down the ‘rusting’, although bear in mind weathering steel is meant to be a maintenance free material, once you apply any coating it will always have a service life. Green Image Lifestyle will take no responsibility for ‘rusting’ and its residue, or products that have been modified or changed in any way.
We are here to provide a service to everyone and that’s why we have Australia wide shipping and appointments to view our showroom if you are local to the Central Coast NSW.
